In an initiative aimed at offering much-needed relief to travelers during the festive season, Indian Railways has unveiled a range of special train services extending up to Chhath Puja.

According to an official announcement, Indian Railways has introduced 283 special train services, collectively making 4,480 journeys, designed to connect major destinations across India.

These railway routes encompass the likes of Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Danapur-Saharsa, Danapur-Bengaluru, Ambala-Saharsa, Muzaffarpur-Yesvantpur, Puri-Patna, Okha-Naharlagun, Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri, Kochuveli-Bengaluru, Benaras-Mumbai, and Howrah-Raxaul.

In 2022, the Indian Railways scheduled 2,614 trips for 216 Puja Special trains, highlighting their commitment to catering to festive season travel needs.

Additionally, the Indian Railways has placed special emphasis on crowd management and passenger security. Measures, such as the orderly formation of queues at terminal stations under the supervision of RPF personnel for passengers boarding unreserved coaches, are being diligently implemented, as reported.

To ensure passenger safety, additional RPF personnel have been deployed at major railway stations. At these crucial locations, officers are on emergency duty to ensure the smooth operation of train services. Staff members are stationed in various sections to promptly address any disruptions in train services.

This concerted focus on crowd management and security aims to provide a secure and hassle-free travel experience for passengers during the festive season.
